Create the Right Atmosphere with These Holiday Wedding Table Centerpieces Ideas

You can create your centerpieces by placing large inverted clear glass bowls in the center of each table. Fill each bowl with round glass  tree bulbs. A mixture of red, green, and gold ornaments in a variety of sizes will look great! Plain and mirrored ornaments should suffice, but you can often find ones that have been covered in glitter. Feel free to add whatever other colors you choose-silver and blue.

Now it's time for a few wedding table centerpieces ideas to complete the project. Surround each bowlful of ornaments with strips of evergreen branches. Bend the branches into circles so they can envelope each bowl. Add a few bunches of red holly berries and one or two pinecones on each side to complete the centerpiece. It's up to you if you would prefer to use live or artificial plants.

Remind your wedding guests before the night is through that they can each choose an ornament or two to take home with them as a souvenir. If you would like the ornaments to act as your only wedding favors, fill the bowls with ornaments that have been personalized with the bride and groom's name and the wedding date!

Affordable Wedding Centerpieces

Picking an affordable wedding centerpiece just might be the most difficult thing you'll have to do while planning your wedding. So let me help you save a fortune with these wedding centerpiece ideas.

The best way to cut down wedding expenses is to pick things that double up, such as a centerpiece that can also be your wedding favor. Some ways to do this is get boxes that match your wedding colors and fill them with candies or something special and then stack them in the center of the table, use little lanterns in your centerpiece and allow your guests to take one home or even use small potted plants and let your guest care for them at home.

Also something that will work as two is using a centerpiece that is filled with food. You can serve your guest rolls and have meats, cheese and condiments in the center of each table. My personal favorite is to put out little deseret trays for your guests to snack on. This will give them something sweet to snack on so they don't want much cake if any at all, this way you save on the cake since you will only need a small 2 tiered one. If you're having a summer wedding then put a fruit bowl in the center that can act as either a side dish to sliders or as a deseret that you serve whip cream with.

Fill vases and bowls with something unusual but colorful. Marbles, rocks, beads, buttons, confetti, etc are great ideas. You could also do candy such as mm's, runts, or even hot tamales.

If you have a wedding in the fall then look outside and find things like leaves, twigs and flowers to create a different masterpiece for each table.

Flowers are usually seen as expensive but if you choose flowers that cost less and use more greenery then you can have a floral centerpiece. You could even choose to use a single rose and surround it with ribbons and candles. Or do an arrangement that is short and uses large headed flowers, where you will only need 4-5 flowers at each table.

Candles can be a really inexpensive centerpiece and you can do so many different things with them. You can place a pillar in the center of a mirror and then surround it with little tealights, butterflies or ribbons and flowers. You can use tapers and place them inside of fruits.

You can also use tapers inside of wine glasses that you have filled with flower petals, rocks, glass beads or anything you want. You can do floating candles in a bowl with or without other decorations.

I've also seen people use mason jars in various ways to cut back expenses. You can use them as vases for flowers or placing a candle in them. I've also seen people use the pint size to hold one floating candle, then they put glass beads at the bottom and place 3-4 on each table.

I hope these ideas have helped you on your quest to save some money on during your wedding.

Reception is an important part of the wedding; therefore, people spend lot of time planning this special event to make it memorable and perfect in every manner. Decoration plays a significant role in making the atmosphere engaging, beautiful and memorable. For this, selection of the reception venue is important. The venue of the reception should be selected by taking into consideration several factors, like vicinity, people gathering capacity, cost and many more. While decorating the wedding reception venue, attention should be paid even on small things, so as to add a unique touch to the celebration. You can use flowers, balloons, colorful papers, and even feathers to decorate your wedding reception place. Table settings, linens, lights, and other decoration arrangements should be just appropriate to make the atmosphere more pleasing.

Use of feathers to decorate your wedding reception place is a distinct, creative and stylish way to add attraction to the celebration. Feathers can not only be used to decorate the place, but can also be used to make and ornament dresses, bouquets, centerpieces and other useful items that can be used in wedding reception party. Wedding reception table centerpiece is the center of attraction among the whole decoration, as the guests spend most of their time on the designated tables. Therefore, the table centerpiece needs to be eye-catching. You can use flowers, cluster of mirrors and candles, and feathers to design and make beautiful table centerpieces. Centerpieces made-up from plumes look very appealing and pleasant. You can use different types of bird's plumes to make wedding reception centerpieces. Ostrich, Peacock, and Pheasant plumes are some of the most popular plumes used to make artistic centerpieces.

Peacock quills - These plumes are very bright and colorful in nature; therefore, wedding centerpieces made from them look highly fascinating.

Ostrich quills - These quills are very large and soft; hence, perfect for making centerpieces.

Pheasant quills - These quills are long, tapered and unique in appearance; hence, can be used to make unique centerpieces.

Cheap Wedding Centerpiece Ideas

Planning a wedding is expensive so you need to save money in any way you can. One great way to save money is by creating unique yet cheap wedding centerpieces. Centerpieces are important as they make the wedding reception area much more beautiful, but they do not need to be expensive in order to transform a boring room to something that looks wonderful. If you are thinking of ways on how to save money while planning your wedding, here are some cheap wedding centerpiece ideas:

One great centerpiece idea that is very inexpensive is using rose petals with candles. Just sprinkle some rose petals at the center of the table and place a group of candles over them. The candles should be of different heights. Tie red and gold ribbons around the candles. You now have a very easy and affordable centerpiece that will only cost you a few measly dollars.

You can also buy cheap colorful slim vases and put in long stemmed colorful flowers. It would be better to put one to three colorful flowers in each slim vase to keep it clean and simple. Remember though, you're working with several colors here so don't add too many elements as that might make it appear cluttered.
For an autumn wedding reception, you can use the harvests or produce that are common in autumn such as gourds, pumpkins, acorns, nuts, sunflowers, wheat, and so on. You can combine different elements in one centerpiece. These are very cheap and you can easily find them at the market or various other shops.

Use candles of different shapes, height, and thickness for an interesting centerpiece. Just tie a wide ribbon around them and place twigs, flowers, or leaves around them. This is very cheap yet very elegant.

For a beach wedding, take advantage of the things that you can collect at the beach such as sand, pebbles, sea shells, starfish, and so on. These are all free! Just create something using these materials and you will have the perfect beach wedding centerpiece.

If you have a Hawaiian wedding, you can use tropical fruits such a pineapples, mangoes, watermelons, and bananas as your centerpiece. You can cut them in half and place them on a beautiful wooden tray. Create a design using these cut fruits. This centerpiece is not only decorative but also edible. Your guests can eat them if they want while waiting for the main course!

Centerpieces For Halloween Weddings

If your wedding is taking place on Halloween, the big day is right around the corner! Along with the usual decorations, you will surely want to have spectacular centerpieces that fit with the theme of your wedding. From the classic to the unexpected, these are some great ideas for Halloween wedding centerpieces.

There are several different approaches that a couple can take towards a Halloween wedding. You can be very literal and really pay tribute to the holiday, or you can go for more of a Gothic inspired wedding plan. Whichever you choose, you will want to be sure to have decorations that reinforce your wedding theme.

The most classic way to design a Halloween wedding is to really take the theme of the holiday and run with it. This might mean the bride in a non-traditional red or black dress with custom bridal jewelry, rather than the traditional white gown and demure accessories. If this sounds like your style, then personalized jack o'lanterns would be ideal for your centerpieces. This is no time for the basic face on a pumpkin, however; your wedding decorations call for something intricate and spectacular. Carve each pumpkin with a different spooky scene, such as a graveyard, complete with the initials of the newlyweds on one of the tombstones!

Another idea for jack o'lantern centerpieces is to use three smallish pumpkins and place them on a tiered stand, like the sort typically used for pies. Designs to consider would be the newlyweds' monogram, Halloween motifs such as black cats and monsters, or even the faces of the bride and groom, if you have a talented enough pumpkin carver (rendering an accurate likeness is actually not as hard as it sounds). At the base of the three tiered stand, place clusters of fall flowers like mums and asters for more color.

You can also take a more elegant Gothic approach to a Halloween wedding. Picture the bride in a black ball gown with custom bridal jewelry in black or dark red crystals. For the decor, skip the orange pumpkins in favor of candles and flowers. But these are not your typical white or pink wedding flowers; think Gothic and dark.

Tall black candelabras with dark red taper candles would look magnificent on the dinner tables for a Halloween wedding. Dark red roses like Black Magic or flowers in a deep purple would be the perfect complement to the black candelabras. You can have the flowers dripping off of the candelabras or surrounding them in vases with a Gothic flair. Either way, the results will be impressive.

A Halloween wedding might not be for everyone, but if that is the wedding date that you have selected, then by all means play it up. Whether your style is spooky, Gothic, or rustic and playful, you can really enhance your wedding reception with Halloween themed centerpieces. You can be sure that your wedding will be one that no one will ever forget!

Submerged Flower Wedding Centerpieces

Submerged Flower Wedding Centerpieces

The centerpieces are one of the most important parts of the wedding reception. They are the design element that will really set the tone for the whole affair. If you are looking for wedding centerpieces that are fresh, modern, and surprisingly affordable, consider displays of submerged flowers.

Submerged Flower Wedding Centerpieces
Brides want their centerpieces to be big, beautiful, and showy, and yet sometimes will find it to be prohibitively expensive to have enormous floral displays. After all, think about how many flowers go into just one large floral centerpiece, and then multiply that by ten or more tables, and suddenly you will find yourself with enough flowers to stock and entire florist shop! It can be particularly tricky to balance style and budget when you fall in love with one of the pricier blooms.

There is, however, a very chic way to get impressive looking centerpieces without totally blowing your budget. One of the hottest wedding trends right now is to fill tall clear cylinders with water, and then have the florist submerge flowers in the vessels. It is a unique concept, and yet it is truly beautiful when you see the finished effect. The best part is that you only need a few flowers per cylinder, since it is a narrow space.

Submerged Flower Wedding Centerpieces
Many favorite wedding flowers will work very well in submerged centerpieces. Tulips, orchids, berries, and amaryllis are all excellent choices, and they come in beautiful colors. Speaking of colors, with this type of arrangement, it is best to keep the look monochromatic for the cleanest effect. It is a modern chic style of centerpiece, so you want to keep it as unfussy as possible.

Submerged Flower Wedding Centerpieces

Once you have chosen a type of flower, you can get creative with the details. For instance, for a truly striking table, use multiple cylinders in varying heights in the center. You can either use the same kind of flower in each vase, or choose different flowers in the same color palette. Orchids are one of the most popular choices for submerged flower centerpieces, and they are available in some fabulous colors.

Submerged Flower Wedding Centerpieces
You can also choose to add some detail to the vessels, in the form of a decorative element at the bottom of each vase. For a Zen look, "plant" your flowers in a mound of smooth black pebbles in the bottom of the cylinders (which could also be rectangular, by the way). If you are going for an opulent evening look, then Swarovksi crystals make a fantastic element in the bottom of your vessels. These are the same crystals that are found in fabulous crystal bridal jewelry, and they will look amazing when the candlelight bounces off of them underwater. You can choose to match the color of the crystal used in your bridal jewelry, or go for a bold choice like deep red.

There are a few more ways to customize your centerpieces. Candles can be floated in the water on top of the flowers for a very pretty spa effect. For brides who want to have spectacular wedding centerpieces, and are willing to splurge, the ultimate in high style is to set a full floral arrangement on top of a submerged floral display. With so many ways to design them, submerged floral centerpieces are one wedding trend that is here to stay.
