It's really an honor to be asked to be a best man or maid of
honor for a friend or brother or sister so please treat the experience
with the respect the occasion deserves. As a parent, it is a very
emotional day to see your son or daughter exchange vows with the one
they love. You have seen them grow up and through life's ups and downs,
and a wedding speech is your chance to reflect, express yourself and
good wishes of your son or daughter.

For some, the thought of
standing and delivering a wedding speech to a room full of people is
difficult. If this sounds like you, don't worry! It's natural to feel a
little nervous about making a wedding speech. You don't want to mess up!
Please
do not drink too much alcohol if you want your speech to be perfect.
Best Man Speeches are often ruined by too much alcohol being consumed by
the best man.

The first thing that comes to mind when we realize
that we will be making a wedding speech at a wedding reception is how it
is to be written and ultimately delivered perfectly so it doesn't do
any harm to our reputation or those in the wedding party. It is an added
responsibility or obligation that you must perform as the father of the
bride, the groom, best man or maid of honor. The best way to do this is
to write out the speech well in advance of the big day, practice the
speech, and make any changes you feel will improve the words. By writing
down the words, you also will not forget any important parts or
thank-yous. Can I please repeat that proper preparation is the most
important aspect of delivering a good speech.

As the marriage is
undoubtedly an important day in any man or woman's life, the last thing
you would want to do is insult or create an error in judgment by saying
the wrong thing. But it can be a memorable experience for the pair if a
speech or toast goes really well. My take on a wedding day is that for
many, it is a day of magic, so please don't spoil it by messing up a
speech.

Unless you are the father of the bride, do not make the
speech too long. Try to put yourself in the audience at the reception as
a speech should not become boring. Make sure you have some witty
anecdotes, but don't try to become a comedian with a host of jokes. Some
funny one-liners will do just fine. Obscenities rarely work at a
wedding reception; they are for buck shows and hens nights.
Finally,
wish the couple all the best for the future and toast the relevant
person or people by raising a glass in the traditional manner.
The father will usually want to see their daughter happy, the wedding ceremony is sometimes a unpleasant event for the dad who may think that he's about to lose their child. Be confident it happened to all the dads and deliver best speech as Father of the Bride Speech . Thank you for this nice article
